engenesis, LLC was founded in June 2016 by Dr. Sangita K. Jindal, professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health, and the IVF lab director for Montefiore’s Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Health in Hartsdale, NY.

engenesis, LLC currently services five labs, the national limit allowed by the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART).

Consulting Lab Directorship:
Fertility labs are accredited by either the College of American Pathologists (CAP) or The Joint Commission. engenesis, LLC labs are accredited by CAP and Dr. Jindal is certified as a high-complexity clinical lab director by the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
Regulatory compliance is a big part of lab directorship. Long accreditation checklists of requirements are updated annually to help the labs stay current with the ongoing advances not only in the medical field but also in technology. The checklist of requirements needs to be met and the labs are physically inspected every two years. As lab director, Dr. Jindal takes ownership of the preparatory process for the inspections and is physically present for the inspection process.

Document control is an essential responsibility of a fertility lab director. Over the years, Dr. Jindal has created master copywritten templates for standard operating procedure manuals which she customizes for each lab. The procedure manuals are formatted according to clinical lab standards and are compliant with CAP regulations. Each manual has 18 or more sections and each section has subsections that reflect the complexity of the process.
Always conscious of the environment. Dr. Jindal’s forms and manuals are now digitally housed online. The staff have complete access to the manuals through a password-protected web-based portal and can print any needed forms. During the inspection process, the inspectors are given one-day access to the portal which helps reduce the need for printed material.
